Passion 25th Anniversary - three-way loudspeakers with MDF panel construction
The acoustically baffle of this 3-way loudspeaker consists of a sandwich construction made of MDF panels, which also uses the unique active BDS damping system. The cabinet is further reinforced by several full-circumference and cross braces and a robust front sandwich 3D wall, which is fitted with a bass-reflex socket, milled from multilayer MDF.
Adjustable spikes are installed on the bottom base to completely eliminate vibrations. The installation of three-way speakers combines the most interesting of the Danish Scan Speak with the progressive SB Acoustics, highly valued for the excellent sound quality of their products. Space placement of drivers on a 3D cabinet is one of the steps to achieve an extremely flat phase characteristic.
The advantage of this orientation is to direct the acoustic axis of the speaker directly to the seated listener and at the same time, thanks to the flush mounting of the speaker baskets, there is no edge diffraction. All components are soldered using the D2D method at the connection points on a thick panel, thus eliminating the limiting printed circuit boards. The proven ROCKET 33 conductors of the American company AudioQuest are used as internal cabling. Many technologies have been used in the development of Passion 25th Anniversary, also used in the most expensive AQ loudspeakers - the flagship PASSION. Thanks to their sound quality and perfect workmanship, the AQ Passion 25th Anniversary will hardly find competition in its level.
